Przesieka is a picturesque village in the heart of the Karkonosze Mountains, located on the northern slope of Złoty Widok (480-650 m above sea level), in the valleys of Czerwień, Podgórna and Myja. Its history dates back to the 17th century, when it was a settlement of lumberjacks and charcoal burners.

Today, it attracts tourists with its silence, peace and extraordinary views, offering ideal conditions for relaxation away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Surrounded by forests and hills, it is an enclave of nature, from which there are panoramas of the Karkonosze and the Jelenia Góra Valley.

Przesieka is an excellent base for mountain hikes, including to Schronisko Odrodzenie, Szklarska Poręba or Karpacz. Its unique climate also attracts artists, and the proximity of historical monuments additionally increases the attractiveness of this place.

Podgórna Waterfall
The main attraction of Przesieka is the Podgórna Waterfall (547m above sea level). This waterfall breaks through a rocky gorge and has a triple drop of water with a height of ten meters. It is a junction point for the foothill hiking trails. There is a small bridge under the waterfall, from which there is the most beautiful view of the water boiling.

Walloon Stone
Waloński Kamień, also known as Chybotek, is another attraction of Przesieka. A group of rocks located between the fire station and the Pod Lipami bar. On one of the rocks, a depression in the shape of a human figure is clearly visible.

Siruwia Japanese Garden
The newest activity of Przesieka is Siruwia Japanese Garden located in Przesieka 600 m above sea level at ul. Brzozowe Wzgórze 8B. It is not only an oasis of peace and quiet, but also a beautiful garden, where you can walk with great pleasure. On the area of 1.5 ha we will find a very rich collection of ornamental plants and a waterfall.

Chojnik Castle
One of the closest monuments to Przesieka is undoubtedly Chojnik Castle. It is also one of the most frequently visited attractions in the Karkonosze Mountains. From Przesieka, you can walk to the castle in about 60 minutes.

Wang Temple
The Wang Temple is a unique monument that attracts tourists with its unique architecture. It was moved from Norway in the 19th century and is an excellent example of Nordic sacral style. It is a place worth visiting not only for its historical values, but also for its picturesque location in Karpacz.

Mountains
Mount Sniezka
Śnieżka, with a height of 1603 m above sea level, is the highest peak in the Karkonosze Mountains. Climbing Śnieżka is a must on every trip to the Karkonosze Mountains. From the top there is a magnificent view of the surrounding mountains, and in good weather also of Poland and the Czech Republic. You can climb it on foot or use the cable car.
